WhamGuard: An Alternative to Vertical Boat Dock Rollers:
Vertical Boat Dock Rollers don’t Always Work
Before WhamGuard Rotating Bumpers there were not many choices available for boat and dock protection. Most minor damage that occurs to the boat and dock happen when leaving or returning to the boat slip. Traditional vertical boat dock rollers did provide some protection, however, they failed to consistently roll or guide boats in or out of the boat slip. Another shortcoming of the vertical boat dock roller is the size. Most of these rollers come in 4′ or 6′ length. This makes them not only hard to for one person to put on, they are prone to get bent out of shape.
WhamGuard Rotating Bumpers
These bumpers work! Not only do they protect the boat and the dock structure, they work as advertised and actually roll when the boat rubs up against them. Rolling is important because it allows the boat to correct. The forward motion of the bumper also helps prevent damage to the boat and the dock structure. We hope you don’t slam hard, but if you do, you better have a WhamGuard! Rotating Bumpers are a great alternative to the traditional vertical boat dock rollers and the dock post bumpers. Covering steel in plastic, such as a post bumper only provides minimal protection, if at all.
